Barùkas Garlic-Broccoli Chinese Stew
Ingredients
- 1 whole medium head of broccoli
- 2 medium-sized spring onions
- 4-5 large-sized garlic
- 2 ounces of roasted Barùkas
- 1 ½ heaping tablespoons of manioc starch
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil for cooking
- 1 tablespoon for drizzling after cooked
- 1 large green bell pepper
- 1 large carrot
Preparation
- Cut Broccoli into medium size florets, and place aside
- Cut Carrot into strips as thin as possible
- Cut Garlic into small pieces and set aside
- Cut Bell pepper into strips and set aside
- Cut Green onion and set aside
- Add the manioc starch to a small bowl and hydrate to obtain a batter mix and set aside
- Preheat the wok without oil over medium heat
- Sprinkle water on the wok if it sizzles its ready
- Carefully add the sesame oil
- Immediately add the broccoli, and bell pepper and cook stirring frequently.
- After 5 minutes add the carrot and garlic and continue stirring for another 5 minutes
- Add the soy sauce and spring onions and cook for another 2-3 minutes
- Add the hydrated manioc starch and Barùkas nuts, and continue stirring for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve and drizzle a bit of sesame seed oil
